All the cheesehead kids who witnessed their parents and teachers fighting back will never forget this. They will be lifelong Democrats. They will be telling their grandchildren about going to Madison with their parents. They will talk about the Cops 4 Labor and the firefighters with their bagpipes.
This knockout is only the first of many. And it won't stop in Wisconsin. Wisconsin had emboldened the rest of us.

There seemed to be a hidden agenda, coordinated by all the Republican governors, to attack every institution concurrently since the last election. I think it was borne out of desperate knowledge that unless they changed the rules of the game soon, the opportunity to makeover this country into their warped vision would be lost. Their politics of division and agenda of selling out this country was not a long term viable political strategy. So they went all in, figuring that we'd be too demoralized to stop them. Political shock and awe, if you will.
I was bot disappointed in the Wisconsin results, but then you realize how fast the attitude change has happened since the primary there - it's a major shot across the Republican bow. And these forces may not only neutralize the Republican money and marketing advantage, but it may well jump start a new era of progressive political action that will start addressing the entire range of problems that we face today.
