Among Republican primary voters, Mr. Romney captured the support of 21% in a broad, nine-candidate field. Mr. Trump was tied for second with former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, with 17%. House Speaker Newt Gingrich got 11%, just ahead of former Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s 10%. Former Minnesota Gov. To answer your question...Trump's an "employee" of NBComcrap...the higher the ratings the more money they all make.

This is and has been a stunt...similar to when Trump tried to run as a Democrat in '08. The difference is Democrats never took him seriously, while his birther shit has hooked a lot of the great unhinged. Trump knows a fish or a whole ocean of 'em when he sees 'em. The fact that he's polling above some "legitimate" candidates shows how weak and lame the entire party really is.

The birther game has nothing to do with fact...Rachel nailed it a couple weeks back. This is purely a PR stunt...Trump has a massive ego but its too big for the mundane shit of actually running. His big prize is big ratings for his waste of a teevee show and if he can lure in the great unhinged, it's all ratings to him.
