Isn't that a "Soviet" thing? Heritage Foundation scrubs inconvenient numbers
Paul Krugman was crunching numbers on Ryan's so-called budget and the Heritage Foundation projections it relies upon, and found something interesting.

After he and others had reported the preposterously optimistic drop in unemployment (to under 3% within 10 years), it vanished. The unemployment percentage line in the Budget Analysis documentation was removed.

Yep — they took the offending number out.

I mean, really, guys — this is all over the blogosphere; did you really think you could get away with pretending it was never there?

But this does bring back memories: during the Social Security debate, Cato tried to expunge all evidence that it had ever used the word “privatization”, when it was easy to show that its project was originally the Project on Social Security Privatization.

Anyway, you now know what kind of people we’re dealing with.

Just a little something to remember while they're calling us communists.

2. No, it's a republican thing. Lie, cheat, steal, kill, and when you get called
out on it, deny, project, purge, and if that doesn't work, lie, cheat and steal some more.

4. Look at the school book terrorists
MLK, Sam Gompers, Walter Reuther, Darwin - gone. Newt Gingrinch and Limpballs are now Founding Fathers. Right from the Soviet playbook.

6. When it's too preposterous for the Heritage Foundation
You've gone deep into Preposterous Land. Unfortunately for the Think Tank Titans at Heritage, the internet doesn't work the way they think it does. I hope this ridiculousness continues to haunt Heritage, and neutralizes their voice to some degree. They don't deserve to be taken seriously on matters of national policy, and it would be to the betterment of society if their phony-baloney think tank ivory tower opinings were ignored.

7. Heritage 'beings'
simply pull numbers out of their collective butts.

Hell, to count to 21, they have to pull out their wee-wee.

8. They're like all ideologues: they think reality is always supposed to support their ideology
Not that their ideology should always clarify and serve the needs of our shared reality.

10. Why not?
The Conservatives have practically airbrushed Bush the Lesser out of all the photographs.
It is like the man never existed.
He has been disappeared, and his name added to the list of those who shall not be mentioned.
