DC Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton tells Congress to "go straight to hell"
WASHINGTON - Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D -DC) was on fire when she spoke to FOX 5 Morning News Thursday about how Washington, D.C. residents are being treated as work to avoid a government shutdown continues.

“We are absolutely outraged. This is the functional equivalent of bombing innocent civilians,” she said.

“It’s time that the District of Columbia told the Congress to go straight to hell,” Norton continued after she said a rider attached to a bill that could offer resolution prevented D.C. government from spending its own tax dollars on funds for abortions for low income women.

“If these Republicans insist that, if they don’t get the whole pie, they’ll take the whole country down with them,” she continued, “then we have got to make them pay the price.”

11. Let's sum this Repugnant
misogynist bullshit up: If a male impregnates a woman, she is forced into Compulsory Motherhood. The male continues to 'Just do what you want to do.' (That's the new repugnant law). If this woman is poor, working poor, and can't get together the $500 for an abortion, she is STUCK. And STUCK is just where these misogynist repugnant Waste of Flesh want them. POOR and STUCK.

And to make it worse, these misogynist turds are going to pull whatever safety net there is for single mothers and their children out from under them. Why? Because they are sadistic, vile pieces of scum.

These repugnants are Sons of Short Dicks.....SOSD. They hate women and want to see them suffer....it's that simple.

23. I have additional ideas.
Herd the miserable Kochheads and teabaggers into overcrowded Metrobuses during rush-hour traffic, preferably on a vehicle with broken AC and a ranting passenger.

Chase down into the Metro those GOP members who can't see the need for mass transit but will take federal dollars to build roads in their states and/or give billions in tax breaks to profitable oil companies. Make them ride the Metro they are so eager to defund/underfund, and tell all the passengers who they are and what they are doing to the locals (D.C. residents but also those in Virginia and Maryland).

Believe me, it would be a most memorable ride...

17. It is totally wrong that DC is not represented in Congress.
Congress should not be dictating what DC can or can't do when it doesn't happen in other states.

22. I've always found that confusing
That a whole area of America has ZERO representation - and it's in the capital.

Isn't this considered a national shame? Has NO politician EVER sought to fix this situation?

They've also tried to get votes for Puerto Rico. Rethugs won't let it happen. You need a 2/3 majority, i think...

40. Is that it?
Because it's a solid Democratic region? Then that's even more reason for Dems to push for representation.

I don't understand why it's so toxic to BOTH sides.

38. Fix it how.
I believe many have.

DC. PR. The rest of the territories. Its time they had representation and were treated like the rest of the country. No special privileges, no lack of rights and representation.
