Earlier, I saw the remnants of the shell in the nest.

Just now I saw the two older ones vying for attention, but nothing else in the nest.

9. Older siblings probably pecked him into submission

The youngest ones learn to go limp and play dead when their siblings start pecking on them. That's probably what happened, although I haven't been watching carefully for the past hour or so.

Number 2 did a smackdown of Number 3 (order in first photo is 1,3,2)

Then Number 2 tried doing the same smackdown to Number 1 and Number 1 showed him! Then the 2nd photo resulted.
