Juan Gonzales won another Polk Award |

On Democracy Now! Amy Goodman looks as happy as if she had won it herself. Grats Juan. Thanks for your service. Why are real journalists like these relegated to Community Access Cable? :patriot:

He'd raise the level of even that award IMHO. Most investigative awards seem to go for investigating problems in big government programs. But here's a great one;
"Susan Schmidt, James V. Grimaldi and R. Jeffrey Smith of The Washington Post For their indefatigable probe of Washington lobbyist Jack Abramoff that exposed congressional corruption and produced reform efforts."
Investigation of corruption in big money politics should be awarded every time now.
Barlett and Steele's book; America: What Went Wrong? Pulitzer winners, Phily Inquirer Also great - PBS Frontline; Betrayal of Democracy
Those were great work and we ignored the warnings. There's such a deep field now that lays fallow.
