Rep Eric Cantor - America is broke!!
Edited on Thu Apr-07-11 01:23 PM by howaboutme
Did you hear him excitedly exclaim that today on the floor of Congress?

Yet there is no bigger cheerleader in Congress leading the charge to force every American to do without, while sending billions to Israel and to other foreign nations. Let's wage more war and expand our military might while we are at it. This US Congress doesn't work for America it works for interests, and the average American working people are obviously not on that list of interests.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/glennthrush/0411/Freshmen_GOP_senators_support_aid_for_Israel_.html
Portion of article:

"Even as they push for huge spending cuts, 11 freshman GOP senators say the U.S. must continue to provide foreign aid to its strongest ally in the Middle East: Israel.

The senators delivered a letter Wednesday to Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), reaffirming their support for security assistance for Israel. The U.S. spends more than $3 billion a year to help keep the nation safe."

snip

“I think they’re (Israel) an important ally, but I also think that their per capita income is greater than probably three-fourths of the rest of the world,” Rand Paul told ABC News in February. “Should we be giving free money or welfare to a wealthy nation? I don’t think so.”

Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson was the only other Republican freshman not to sign on."

10. So, Eric's saying he won't cash his paycheck?
I mean, that would be the surest sign that the country is broke. Don't want to incur those bounced check fees now, do you Eric?

14. How can America be broke if we just jumped into a third war?
This is how Rome fell. When the lies finally get washed away...let us hope the damage can be repaired.
