Tina Fey Worried Second Pregnancy Would Make Her 'Unemployable'
Tina Fey Worried Second Pregnancy Would Make Her 'Unemployable'

Science shows that fertility and movie offers drop off steeply for women after 40," she says.
Tina Fey, who has announced that she is five months pregnant, wasn’t sure she wanted to have a second child.

In her new memoir Bossypants, she recalls breaking down during a visit to her gynecologist.

"I went for my annual checkup and, tired of carrying this anxiety around, burst into tears the moment she said hello," she writes, according to People.com. "I laid it all out for her, and the main thing I took away from our conversation was the kind of simple observation that only an impartial third party can provide: 'Either way, everything will be fine.'"

Nevetheless, Fey, 40, recalled going to the bathroom and studying herself in the mirror often.

"Do I look like someone who should be pregnant?" she recalls asking herself. "I look good for 40, but I have the quaggy jawline and hollow cheeks of a mom, not a pregnant lady. It's now or never. This decision can't be delayed."

2. My heart is broken for her, that she might have to retire
at 40 and live off her millions.

3. Her job means something to her beyond the money, obviously.
She could have retired long ago.

9. I like my work, too. But if I lose my job, I'm up shit creek, forever.
Therefore, my sympathy for wealthy entertainers who have trouble finding roles is quite limited.

4. Tina fey's career was never one of sexy-leading lady who pretends to never
age beyond 33..

She's a comedienne, a thinker, a sarcastic funny lady.. 1 kid...2 kids..6 kids..
makes no difference to the public.

As long as she makes enough money to have the hired help necessary, she can work as much or little as she wants..

Now..if she worked at Subway, had no car and could barely afford a 1 bedroom apartment, I'd feel a little bit sorrier for her.

7. Humor has been in very short supply of late.
People on DU used to laugh a lot more than they do now.
