Dear Democratic Party: We Want You Back
To the Democratic Party of the United States of America:

You don’t really know me, but you knew my father. On the strength of that relationship, I hope you won’t mind me writing to you.

You should know, my father always spoke fondly of you, and he didn’t do that with just anyone. He was a hard-working man, and didn’t always have time for the niceties of life, but he felt like the two of you had a mutual understanding. He felt like you were there for him, so he needed to be there for you. He spoke fondly of you even after the two of you had a falling-out, though his words were often filled with nostalgia. I think he missed you, and he longed for the relationship that you had had when he was a younger man.

I don’t really know when that falling-out occurred; I was very young. I do know that my father felt like you betrayed him, just a little. He felt like you initiated the break-up. He felt like you gave in to your nemesis, Republican Party, and you left him just so you could court some of the same people that Republican Party liked to visit. He felt like you were forgetting the people that made you powerful, and instead took to waiting around for any scraps that fell off the table when Republican Party and Big Business dined together.

9. A SAD Commentary, But So VERY, VERY True! Folks We're On Our Own
and we ARE going to lose! Don't have much money, but I can tell you if there was a place to win money if I placed a bet, I think I would have a few more bucks than I do now. Democrats today are NOTHING like ANY Democrats I knew when I was growing up, THEY ARE SPINELESS WIMPS!

And add the "compromiser" to the list too. Don't like saying it, but from the WH down, they've SOLD US OUT! What an enormous mess and travesty.

10. Sigh
The same feeling I get when I listen to old Janis & Jimmy tunes.
They are GONE...just like the Old "Democratic Party" that I joined 44 years ago,

"In our day these economic truths have become accepted as self-evident. We have accepted, so to speak, a second Bill of Rights under which a new basis of security and prosperity can be established for all—regardless of station, race, or creed.

Among these are:

*The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the nation;

*The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation;

*The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return which will give him and his family a decent living;

*The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad;

*The right of every family to a decent home;

*The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health;

*The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment;

*The right to a good education.

All of these rights spell security. And after this war is won we must be prepared to move forward, in the implementation of these rights, to new goals of human happiness and well-being.

Americas own rightful place in the world depends in large part upon how fully these and similar rights have been carried into practice for all our citizens.

For unless there is security here at home there cannot be lasting peace in the world."---FDR, 1944

I would Go to The WALL for THAT Democratic Party!!!
Today's Centrist (1/2 Republican) New Democrat Party?.....not so much

Even with a huge Mandate for Change,
and overwhelming popular support for Working Class issues,
the Democratic Party leadership can't seem to push away from the Republican Rich Man's Table.

Who will STAND and FIGHT for THIS American Majority?
Lofty Rhetoric, Broken Promises, and Whiny Excuses mean NOTHING now.
"By their WORKS you will know them,"
and by their WORKS they will be judged.
