Announcement coming on Waukesha County votes that could further tighten WI SC race
Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus is expected to have an announcement shortly about the outcome of voting in Waukesha County.

The county's board of canvassers just met. It was earlier reported that David Prosser picked up 200 votes in New Berlin after a clerical error was discovered, according to Pat Karcher, a member of the board of canvassers in Waukesha County. Karcher spoke during a break in the canvassers meeting. The error occurred in Ward 12, where a vote for Prosser was reported as 37 but the tape revealed 237 votes for Prosser.

1. Klop just picked up 64 in Shawano
David Prosser 5,534, minus-1.
JoAnne Kloppenburg 3,613, plus-63.

Kloppenburg nets 64.

21. No. Completely predictable. Republicans will always cheat in anyway they can
get away with. Always. You can count on this like you can count on the sun rising tomorrow.

This is why we need a completely transparent foolproof as possible nationally standardized voting system similar to the Canadian model, ASAP.

19. If the original numbers didn't include Brookfield... then it would be tought to challenge.
There's no question that Brookfield would be expected to go heavily toward Prosser.

Here's a story that could become an interesting part of this. It seems the county clerk didn't upgrade to the new statewide system and kept things on an old PC.

13. They apparently forgot to submit the entire city of Brookfield. The entire freaking city.
This is from unconfirmed reports online -- we'll see if they're accurate. If they are, we're screwed (unless another county made a similar error).

meaning Kloppenburg would have to pay for a recount.

40. God KNOWS, nobody wants any violence, BUT............
at what point do we say that ANY option is on the table?

This smells to high heaven. All of a sudden they "magically" find another 8k votes for Prosser. What's even MORE magical is that it brings the total ABOVE the amount for a state mandated free recount. And ALL this "magic" happens through the auspices of a REPUBLICAN election official WHO'S BEEN SANCTIONED BY THE ELECTION OFFICIALS OF HER OWN COUNTY for this very TYPE of thing. Hiding public voting records under her own password protected PERSONAL computer.

What point do we decide that enough is enough?

57. They beat me in the back for doing absolutely nothing at the WTO "event" in Seattle.
Edited on Thu Apr-07-11 06:01 PM by Zorra
I went there because I felt it was my responsibility to call attention to the WTO globalists.

A lot of us did. We were not afraid.

I'm not afraid, whatsoever, to stand up for myself, and my people, when our lawful democratic rights have obviously and indisputably been arbitrarily and illegally taken away. This is not a lark. This is as serious as it gets.

It's called standing up to tyrants.

Hasn't the lesson of the selection of George W. Bush taught us anything?

If this vote shenanigans proves to be as corrupt as Florida and the Bush selection, we need to straighten it out immediately by any and every peaceful means possible.

If we have no other recourse, well, I guess we could all just go back to watching American Idol in our po-jamas.

That always works.

Was it the cops?

I'm glad you're not afraid to get other people arrested, tortured, killed. I'm glad you are unafraid to put exhausting expense on the backs of small merchants who barely make it year to year.

When you learn how to demonstrate as opposed to riot, show up. Till then, well, where I'm from you'd be marked as a narc.

Prosser: 92263
Klopp: 32758

Unofficial was different because one ward in New Berlin was reported as 37, but should have been 237. In Lisbon, a typo changed totals that resulted in fewer for both candidates.

I certainly hope the Wisconsin Democrats will handle this discovery of thousands of uncounted votes in a Repug stronghold as calmly and with as much class as the Repugs would handle a late discovery of thousands of uncounted votes in a Democratic stronghold.
