Doesn't the fact that Barack's mother was a USA citizen automatically make him a USA citizen NO MATTER where he was born?

In no way do I doubt he was born in Hawaii but c'mon...isn't this a fact?

Am I missing something here?

There's some law they point to that would have required his mother to have been inside the country and over a certain age for 5 years IF he hadn't been born inside the country. But he WAS, so the details of that law, whatever they are, are moot.
