What if the Brookfield votes are just a shiny object? |
|
Supposing votes were moved from Dem to Republican all evening in the red precincts? There were 3630 precincts listed and if half were Republican, that would be 1815 or so Republican precincts. They would only need around 10 votes in each precinct moved in order to gain 18,150 votes. Supposing then that the Dem turnout was much larger than they figured, making the race virtually even. They would need the Brookfield votes held back because that's one big deep red city, and would have enough to prevent any recount that might happen. So when the vote turned out to be so close, they brought out the Brookfield votes to stop any statewide free recount hoping that Kloppenburg wouldn't ask for one because of the cost. Just postulating.

We'll find the money for recounts, and we'll watch every ballot be tallied.
Thank GOD (if I actually believed in him or her) for paper ballots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. I just had another thought. By "finding" those votes in Brookfield |
|
Edited on Fri Apr-08-11 08:01 AM by shraby
that puts all the attention on Brookfield. Recount and investigations will be at Brookfield and by extension Waukesha county..will that preclude a full state-wide recount if no errors are found? Whereas full state-wide recount would show up the fudging elsewhere which is one of the reasons for the Waukesha "error". I can think of no other reason for the "found" votes.

10. The votes weren't suddenly "found" |
|
They were posted on the Brookfield city website on election night: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=439&topic_id=841430&mesg_id=841430The county didn't include them when reporting the totals to the media, but the votes were accounted for.

8. This has been going on for ages |
|
..all over the country. Computers just made it easier to shift votes, rather than stuffing ballot boxes. This is how a few powerful people can control millions.
People are waking up and pushing back.

6. This is what I have been thinking about too |
|
It would be (and is) so easy for them to steal votes in "known" red districts. And they could steal a LOT in those districts because nobody really knows how red (or blue) they are. You have shown how stealing a very small number in each precinct can really add up.
Something else I've been thinking about Waukesha County: Let's say the turnout there was somewhat LOWER this election. Maybe some of the repub voters there didn't feel so warm and fuzzy about their party given all the negative publicity of the Walker administration these past 2 months, and of David Prosser himself - his inappropriate outbursts in court, his siding with a known child molester, etc. They couldn't bring themselves to vote for the opposition, but they didn't feel like voting for Prosser either. So the total number of voters was lower than normal, and the Thugs see an opportunity to add in votes (for themselves of course) to bring the totals more in line with past election totals.
Also just postulating!

What you said is very likely the case. They are trying to stop a recount.
