"Biblical slavery" For Non-Christians - Huckabee's expert says

http://www.buzzflash.net/story.php?id=1394209

Website of Huckabee's American History 'Expert' Suggests "Biblical slavery" For Non-Christians

The pro-slavery article on Barton's Wallbuilders web site would seem to qualify as one of Barton's teachings given that it's written by a Wallbuilders board member and Barton refers his readers directly to the article, clearly an endorsement of it. So does Mike Huckabee wants Americans forcibly indoctrinated with pro-slavery ideas? It sounds absurd, but the case I outline below isn't the only indication Huckabee might have closet pro-slavery yearnings. As I detailed in a January 2008 Talk To Action story, one of Huckabee's top policy advisers while Mike Huckabee was governor of Arkansas was Christian Reconstructionist leader Rod D. Martin. Christian Reconstructionism endorses "Biblical slavery" and founder of the movement R.J. Rushdoony expressed the sentiment that African-Americans were lucky to be slaves, writing, "Granted that some Negroes were mistreated as slaves, the fact still remains that nowhere in all history or in the world today has the Negro been better off.".

3. Conservatives only believe in the 2nd amendment
or sometimes the first when they're bleating about Christian persecution. They'd gladly dump all the others.

4. Wow. I knew these people were nuts, but I didn't know they were this bad.
I swear it is times like this that makes me wish we could require a test for voting and one of the questions was "Do you agree that Religion should have no role in government, and any politician advocating passing laws based on religious principles should be barred from holding office?" I realize that is really extreme, but these people are dangerous.

8. Insane indeed
Barton has serious creds though

Meanwhile, who is David Barton?

For a start, Barton has been tapped as an alleged "expert" on American history featured on the Glenn Beck show and more recently brought into Congress, by Representative Michele Bachmann, to teach constitutional principles to incoming new members of Congress.

A history expert for THE history expert Glen Beck.

That sez it all!

10. My God. They are bringing that old false doctrine back! I walked
out of my church and changed churches because an old lady said something like that to me. My minister corrected her but I left anyhow. That is the oldest bunch of crap the church as ever come up with and it denies the whole idea of forgiveness in the New Testament. What a bastard.

11. Take this seriously, America!
The only thing that makes us different from Imam-controlled Middle-Eastern countries is our determination to keep religion out of government.

Nothing else will save us.

The crazies among the Christians are every bit as bad as the crazies among the Muslims.
