I would love to see Russ Feingold INVESTIGATE what happened in Waukesha
With his experience on the Judiciary Committee and his stature at the national level, I would love for him to investigate because something smells rotten in Wisconsin!

After my experience in Ohio in 2004, I don't hold much faith in elected officials-they follow party directives but since Russ is a fighter and no longer indebted to the party apparatus, I believe he could be of great help.

1. We have the GAB, the Kloppenburg campaign (represented by Franken's attorney) and the Democratic
Party investigating.

2. Funny, Al Franken would not even DISCUSS Election Fraud on Air America.
Even some of the most progressive Dem's out there won't touch it. Someone, somewhere gets to them and they just back away.

5. That was awhile ago
I can't believe Al Franken isn't every bit as suspicious as the rest of us here -- I mean it's so fucking blatantly obvious right down to the person who found the votes on their personal laptop is a former employee of the candidate.

They're not even TRYING to cover it up.

HELLO???

7. Watch this get smothered. just watch.
Even if you believe every word this Clerk says, it screams vulnerability, unverifiability, corruption.

But there is nothing new here whatsoever. And the pols ALL know it--Dems and Pukes, alike.

Yet no one says a word even when they lose. Max Cleeland was likely the first victim, then Gore, Kerry and many others on a smaller level.

But no one says nothin'.

9. Why would they try to cover it up?
that would be a lot of work for nothing - the blatant fraud is going to work

12. my theory as an election integrity activist...
Both party elites have agreed not to stir the pot on election fraud (but I guess it's ok to blame minority voter groups like ACORN even though voter fraud in practically non existent) because both want to protect the monied elite in case a real populist get's elected and starts to radical things like raising taxes on corporation & the wealthy, stopping wars and sending the true crooks to jail.

3. Trust Franken's folks but have no faith in the Dem Party.
Sorry, I investigated Ohio in '04 after first hand witnessing...they lost my faith.

13. Gosh, we have two recall petitions in; six more are coming.
That kind of stuff doesn't happen overnight, and we're WAAAY ahead of the game in getting them filed.

So, I dunno and kinda don't care if they motivate you personally or not. We're rallying. protesting, organizing, moving, filing, investigating and fired the fuck up. A lot of people are on the ground, all over this state.

15. Also
Edited on Fri Apr-08-11 11:29 AM by PeaceNikki
This was a non-partisan spring election with ONE statewide race. We We lifted Kloppenburg up from a THIRTY POINT DEFICIT she held 8 weeks ago. To get it CLOSE to 50/50 is a fucking miracle.

So, the framing of it that "we've done nothing" is not true. Between turning this election on its side and the recalls, we sure the fuck have.

14. Let's hope they do
But it would be a first.

All elections are given a pass.
If the pols were to question any count they will also be raising questions about their own elections.

If there is a real investigation and an accurate recount the result will be that every election will be seen as questionable.

Therefore there shall be no real accuracy.
It will be whitewashed. Elections shall not be questioned in any real official sense.

At least here on DU people are waking up. Eh?

18. Right
We're at a stalemate. DUers did move things quite a bit, but since Obama got elected.......

Now comes a great opportunity: this is the best chance ever to resume progress in correcting a failing vote counting system. DU can make a difference.

19. Maybe Walker will name him to a special commission to investigate it.
Probably not. Don't expect any help from the Republican attorney general either.
