If Planned Parenthood cannot be "trusted" to use federal money, then |
|
Edited on Fri Apr-08-11 11:40 AM by SoCalDem
NOT ONE MORE DIME should go to any religious organization either, since they "promise" to keep federal money "separate" from their "private" preaching money..
Can't have it both ways, republicans...

2. Like Liberty University? |
|
The largest receipeint of Pell Grants in the VA?
To be fair the money actually goes to the student who turns it over to Liberty. On second thought, screw fairness!

3. Oh but they can have it both ways. |
|
That's the beauty of being a modern Republican. Logic? Consistency? Hypocrisy? Shame? Those are all meaningless terms. They live by a simple might makes right philosophy. They will do what they want to do because they think they can, not because it conforms to reason.

4. exactly. And we know this alllllll comes down to women & sexuality anyway. |
|
Conservatives are really freaked out about that the most, so they want to control it.
I swear they look fondly back on the Salem Witch Trials.

virtue makes right.
And it works with the public, because they use the generally accepted definitions of virtue.
We, OTOH, are boats against the current.

5. I remember Shrub talking using the word "fungible" to describe |
|
why any and all funds going to Planned Parenthood could support abortion services, during a press conference.
A reporter then said, "You want to fund faith based initiatives that provide services for the poor. Doesn't that mean that our tax dollars could be used to promote religion?"
He just blanked, and repeated, "Planned Parenthood funds are fungible."
He had no clue what it meant.

6. And then there's the U.S. Chamber of Commerce |
|
You know, those folks who accepted foreign money into the same general account from which they made their massive political PAC contributions. But the Chamber promises that they kept that all seperate. Republicans were outraged that anyone could even suggest otherwise even though their books were closed.

because everybody, except for godless unAmerican socialist heathens thinks that preaching is a good thing. Granted there is a small group of that exception who despise preaching at least as much as they despise dogfighting and McDonald's cheeseburgers, but the group appalled by abortion is much larger, and more politically active.
