Rep. Slaughter: Republicans have come ‘to kill women’
Source: RawReplay
By Stephen C. Webster

Rep. Louise Slaughter is taking a hard line on Republican-led attacks on Planned Parenthood funding, which supports crucial medical screenings for millions of poor and middle class women nation-wide.

Appearing at a pro-choice event earlier this week, she called out Republican freshmen in the House of Representatives, claiming that in 1995 they came to “kill” the National Endowment for the Arts, and today they’ve come “to kill women.”

The federal government was on the verge of shutdown Friday as funding for Planned Parenthood remained the final sticking point between Republicans and Democrats. If the government shuts down, over 800,000 workers could be left stranded without pay, including active-duty U.S. combat troops.

This video is from the Christian-conservative CSN News, published Thursday, April 7, 2011.

3. Louise!
That's my Congresswoman. She is fantastic. She has fought long and hard for all the people in the district but especially women.

4. This is it, exactly
There's no sugar coating it, there's no need to be "sensitive" to people who are trying to kill you or someone you love. The GOP is trying their level best to kill women. They're dressing it up as a dispute over spending, but the bottom line is that women will be denied access to health care, and some of them will die. The Republicans know this and don't give a flying fuck.

control over reproduction. Their assault on labor laws, reproductive rights, education, social programs and election fraud is a RW coup endgame. If they win these chess pieces, they will take the board in no time--and they cannot be allowed any progress from here.
