1. Dems appear to have the whole gang up on stage for this thing. It'd be pretty amazing to hear them |
|
stand together against these SOB pugs and not waver, blink, or compromise an inch more than they have.

"If we shut down gvmnt over cancer screenings, people will really hurt."
Laying everything out, but he still sounds too sleepy, as he always does. We need a stronger voice out there right now.

6. I like what I am hearing from Harry Reid so far. |
|
I like that it appears all the Senate Dems are standing UNITED behind Majority Leader Reid.
I like that Reid is framing the issue the way it needs to be framed. He's not dancing around the issue. He's straight up calling the Republicans out on their bull$hit.
Screw the Republicans. Let them shut the government down.
NO COMPROMISE with these terrorist hostage-takers.

It has been against the law for tax monies to be used for abortions since abortions were made legal! This was one of the sticking points way back then, and it has never been changed. This is a flagrant and despicable LIE that is told over and over again to get people riled up!
I am so very, very happy to hear that the truth is being told, and the liar being scolded!

"We are not going to balance the budget on the backs of the poorest Americans. It's time and past time for the wealthiest citizens and corporations to help pull the wagon instead of kvetching from their cushioned seats."
Alternatively: "The health of American women is not a bargaining chip for temporary political gain. We stand today in favor of full access to health care for women, and we will not sacrifice women's lives while the likes of General Electric pay nothing to support the federal budget."

Reid's ear. We need a strong and direct voice on this. It's nice to hear that they are holding strong, but we need a much stronger voice throwing this info out there.
