Evangelical Liberty University received half a billion dollars in federal aid money

Liberty University, the evangelical private Christian school founded by dead apartheid-supporting bigot Jerry Falwell, received $445 million in federal financial aid last year. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, by the way, received $420 million from the federal government.

They promised not to spend it on religion. That would be illegal. See that's the difference. Plsnned Parenthood promises not to spend federal money on abortions, but Liberty University can pledge to God that they won't spend federal money on religion, and that is a credible pledge, because unlike Planned Parenthood, God talks to them.

7. Who knew Pell grants were awarded to schools?

Perhaps if a school is needy enough they just get awarded the money?

I know when I got financial aid in a form other than a loan I was to report it on my 1040. It was awarded to me, based on my projected need (which was dependent on where I was going. Go to UCLA, my need is X; go to CalTech, it would be Y--need is dependent upon projected expenses).
