Paraphrase:
"When Bush was President and we Democrats controlled BOTH houses, we never shut down the government. We recognized that the people had voted for a Republican president and had to compromise, even if we didn't want to."

government be expected to govern? Or at least govern well? That's a question that they HAVE NO GOOD ANSWER FOR!
And there's really only three reasons to BE in government if you don't BELIEVE in government. 1)Ideological. You're there to shut it down. 2) Personal aggandizment. You're there for the graft. And 3) Some combo of the two. You get as much as you can for you and your cronies and THEN shut it down. Those are the ONLY logical reasons to be in government when you don't believe in government.

I feel they could have fought much much harder. At least today they seems to be doing so.
BTW, Boehner just walked through the lobby or whatever and joked with reporters that he's "a happy warrior right now".
Fuck. Him.

Blah, blah, blah, Republicans beat us again. Well, if you're that fucking incompetent, quit and let someone else have the job. You're a failure.
