They are rambling on about how this government shut-down is the Democrat's "crisis".

And even if that was the case, and in some ways it may be, the Republicans apparently don't see the writing on the wall.

When the government shuts down, it will only make it exceptionally clear just how much the government helps it's citizens.

They want to complain about how government is wasting our money and how they wish we had smaller government. Well, tonight they will get that wish.

They will see what happens when we have smaller government.

And it's not going to gain them any votes.

I explained to a client why he was fucked, when the government shuts down tonight. (There are several state programs that rely on federal funding) He just lost his job, is in the midst of the horrific divorce, (two times his ex managed to have swat teams descend on his apt for no reason at all) and hasn't seen his kids in months.

Almost, but not quite, turned him into a democrat. Give me time, though.

the federales. When the federal govt shuts down, watch how long it takes before the state closes off those spigots.
