I think the problem was that they where trying to please everyone on both sides and you just can't do that especially in this political climate.

He, Ron Brownstein and a dem rep are predicting that no dem will vote for it as it's toxic. And the way the Cons are mangling this negotiation will make it harder when they try to pass the 2012 budget.
