So, what was cut? What programs are now dead in the water. What services will not be available monday even if the rest of the Government is still working? What have we already agreed to give up? Its billions of dollars worth of something, its not coming from thin air? So what have we already lost?

2. WTF? Really?
So, let me get this straught, repubs control 1/2 of 1 branch of gov't and yet they're the ones getting the lion's share of their demands?

Seriously?

11. Actually, they control the Senate, too
They demonstrated that in the big scuffle over the failed push for healthcare reform in 2009-2010. Even with a 60-member "supermajority," the Dems were hogtied by the Republicans.

4. A whole hell of a lot
is my guess. I'm assuming that Republicans are doing as they normally do - eliminating funding for food stamps, medicare, welfare, medicaid, state and Federal assistance programs for those in need. I can't believe our dems went even that far... come on people... what the fuck? We can't make the corporations pay just a little bit? We can't really make them share the sacrifice? Really?

Shared sacrifice. In other words, you and I lose our shirts so some asshole who stashes millions or billions in offshore accounts can save money... because it will trickle down, they will use it to hire us poor shmucks. Thank Gawd for the trickles... wait, that's my roof leaking.

9. Reverse Robin Hood

take from the poor to give to the rich. It's the best description I've heard so far to simplify it.

5. If Planned Parenthood is the "last" item holding up this budget

we can be sure the Dems gave them billions of dollars' worth of cuts as they wanted. It will eventually come out what was butchered, I don't have any links so far. The "Riders" will tell all. So much for transparency, eh?

I'm thinking PBS goes, EPA got sliced, Medicare? Medicaid? help for poor children, that stuff was all on the Pukes' agenda. The Dems must have caved on most of that stuff.

It's a purely political move -- so they can come back and say "We protected planned parenthood!"
