Dems. can't compete with the Repubs. informationwise. They own 90% of the news media. Why don't
Dems compete more in the news industry? It sure helps to win elections!

The Repubs. didn't own the 90% overnight. They worked long and hard for it, and now they've got it. You've got to admire their hard work and persistence.
Things didn't just drop into their laps.

How can we help grow Al Gore's "Current TV" on which Keith Olbermann will
soon be broadcasting? Then there's also Bloomberg's news on cable. I
know very little about Bloomberg.

It's hard to get organized, but we've got to do it -- if we wish to win more
elections.

1. They haven't worked at it
they've just bought the news media. The Republicans are backed by some the richest most evil people on the face of the earth, and the democrats just can not compete with that.

2. They've been starting, organizin, and buying into the news industry since
way back in the 19th Century. They stuck with it. Maybe they even planned
it with the future in mind. Whatever it is, THEY'VE NOW GOT IT. Agreed?
This is persistence.

The Neocons joined the Repubs. some decades ago. The Neocons have kicked out
the old Repub. leadership, and are now the inheritors of this benefit. They
are smart enough to retain the Republican name. Neocons arJ among the most ruthless sociopaths on the face of the earth. They make the old-timer
Repubs. look like innocent babes.

This shouldn't prevent Dems. from making efforts to get into the news industry
-- and with honest news, for a change. We can begin by helping to help grow
Al Gore and Bloomberg. Just begin with what's already there, and see how it
goes.

If we don't start now, then when?

3. How many DUers even watch TV???? How many Activists
make an effort to watch Democratic Programming??

First you need an audience. The number of viewers
keep programs on the air.

4. It doesn't matter how many DUers watch TV. What matters is the
numbers of people who do, and who are at least potentially liberal-minded.
I have no knowledge about how the news media industry works, but I see how
advantageous it can be. The Neocons are winning with all the lies they
propagate, and some of which ares so obviously plain lies. Yet they have
half the nation feeding out of their hands. Liberals, f.i., ought to counter
every lie (and repetitions of lies) with the truth, and call them out
on them.

I realize it will take the combined work of many professionals and many
others to add even a modest number of successful newspapers, radio, TV
stations, etc. But every little helps. Something is better than nothing.
We've already got a little start with Al Gore's "Current TV," and perhaps
Bloomberg. How can we help them grow?
