Waukesha County voting records already in the recycling bin.
How many have already been recycled?

http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/119508619.html

Waukesha - Representatives of JoAnne Kloppenburg's campaign on Friday afternoon began examining election records at the Waukesha County Administration Center, trying to verify the 14,315 votes that the county clerk failed to count on Tuesday - votes that were revealed on Thursday and that upended the tight Supreme Court race and gave the lead to incumbent Supreme Court Justice David Prosser.

A top state elections official had been dispatched to Waukesha County, as well. Diane Lowe, the lead elections specialist for the Government Accountability Board's Elections Division, was in Waukesha to review the clerk's business processes and to verify the reported results in the Supreme Court race.

On Thursday, Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus said that she failed to save on her computer and then report 14,315 votes in the City of Brookfield, omitting them entirely in an unofficial total that she released after Tuesday's election.

SNIP

The review started about 3:30 p.m. Friday. Nickolaus had some of the elections material in a blue recycling bin and she used a cart to wheel the bin into the meeting room.

6. As yet, there appears to be no evidence that anything was recycled.
Also, I don't believe that's how anyone would dispose of critical documents they wanted to be rid of.

8. Don't misunderestimate that woman.
She's apparently quite an expert in the field of voting information technology. Seriously. She did that stuff for the state for some years, I believe.

10. Nor is there a hint that she was recycling the records
It's just a stupid OP, to make people think records were almost destroyed.

11. The "hint" is that the records were in the recycling bin.

How do you know the records would not have been destroyed today if Kloppenburg's people hadn't acted quickly? People don't put records they're safekeeping into the recycling bin.

You apparently have a very short memory about what happened in Ohio.

She was trying to destroy the records. The best possible way she could come up with was..... hoping the recycle people showed up before the lawyers. She's green like that.

Then when the lawyers want to see the stuff, she decides to wheel in the recycle bin so they know what she's been up to.

Is that about right?

22. In what universe are we living?
This is utter insanity.

If there were any justice left, Kathy Nickolaus would be removed of her clerkdom and thoroughly investigated for FRAUD.

25. They are not looking at the ballots--only the figures..........

this is from earlier:

http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/119486574.html

...."I . . . have directed her to make the official returns from the polling places available for public inspection. These documents are public records. I believe she is now taking steps to ensure transparency and public confidence in the official results," Kennedy said in the statement.

At a later news conference, Kennedy said that Kloppenburg's campaign would be allowed to look at the figures used to arrive at the official county totals.

Kennedy said that state officials would not be checking the ballots from Brookfield or the rest of the county before any possible recount. To do that would require the Accountability Board to go to court and Kennedy said that he didn't believe that was warranted as of now.

The ballots remain in the custody of Nickolaus in bags that were closed with numbered seals by poll workers on election night, Kennedy said.

Kennedy said that he believed Nickolaus, who discovered her error on Wednesday, should have informed him sooner than she did on Thursday. She told him shortly before announcing the mistake at a press conference.

"I would expect as soon as you know you've made a mistake you would disclose it," Kennedy said.

Nickolaus could not be reached for further comment Friday morning or afternoon. A clerk called on her behalf and said she would not be returning the call directly. Nickolaus also did not respond to an email request for further contact.............

27. This is the SECOND election in which Kathy Nickolaus "found" votes
Also, 14k votes would mean a 50% turnout of ALL voting age people in that city vs just registered voters.

The numbers and trends do NOT add up
