Man Who Helps Homeless Loses His Home
76-Year-Old Vet Asking For Help To Rebuild

YUBA CITY, Calif. -- An elderly man know for befriending homeless people in Yuba City lost his home to a fire on Monday.
Henry Robles,76, who lives on Social Security, said he could not afford homeowners insurance and has no money to rebuild. "I only get about $1,300 a month and that's it, and I have other bills, so I just couldn't afford that," he said.
Henry and his granddaughter were awakened early Monday by a homeless guest who warned them of the flames. Nobody was hurt but the fire heavily damaged the home at 305 Lynn Way.
Henry's trusted companion, a dog named Deuce, died in the fire.
