I am so tired of sharing my country with these knuckle draggers
They will continue to drag us down to the depths.

Yeah, they didn't get Planned Parenthood. This time. Now, PP is near and dear to my heart...but the next time they come back and hold our country hostage...eventually the only thing to give WILL be PP.

They are like jackals....and they will keep coming back and keep coming back until they have devoured every morsel and shred of flesh off of the carcass of what used to be our country.

I really don't see that the differences I have with these terrorists can be resolved by peaceful means.

I feel that we will see a definite split in this country in my lifetime...and, for the first time...I welcome it.

Let them live in a land of biblical law. But do me one favor...post guards at the border and shoot them on site so they do NOT enter and try to destroy the new place like they destroyed the old one.
Or...like they destroyed my party.

2. I'm wondering if my family can be retroactively deported
back to the Netherlands. My great great great grandfather came over without any documentation.

3. I feel that we will see a definite split in this country in my lifetime..
Yup, we are totally polarized into 2 different worlds.

Would be happy to let them live in their world if they'd just stay away from our world.

Otherwise they are kicking a massive hornets nest.

6. If I heard correctly Planned Parenthood is still in jeopardy....separate vote next week?
Separate up or down vote next week according to Lawrence O'Donnell. Maybe that's why Bachmann dog whistled this afternoon to her pack that they will have another chance....soon.

Ezra Klein said this a huge downward move from what the economists in the WH recommended this year. He also said that it is very peculiar to watch Dems celebrating a compromise they hate.

I think when we hear the particulars we will not be amused. I fear what will happen to Medicare....they're not done. They averted a shutdown but..............imho

8. I was talking about this with my oldest son today
He's 16. Pretty sharp kid too. He was talking about the logistics of a split, and how we would divide the country, move the jobs, would we split the current deficit or would one side pay it, would it be an all out war or just a mass Exodus.... He says his friends talk about this stuff....

11. Now that is scary
when 16 year olds see this as a country that has split in two.
People of my generation had the Cold War. These poor kids are seeing fellow citizens coming apart at the seams. Oh my.

9. Yikes...
Shooting people trying to cross a border is their domain, not ours. We don't need to resort to violence. I would however, welcome a peaceful secession.

13. WTH is the plus side of sharing a country with them?
Edited on Fri Apr-08-11 11:52 PM by tblue
There isn't one. I really have no desire to force them to
behave like adults against their will. Just want them to
leave us the hell alone so we can keep moving forward. We
don't have time for that and they are a major DRAIN on our
society! They don't like us much either. Why one side or the
other of this country doesn't secede is beyond me. Time to
divvy up.

I've been saying that forever.

15. I'm really beginning to think that we need two separate countries.
That seems to shock a lot of people, but I don't see the upside in continuing like this.

We are at such opposite ends of the universe with the republicans when it comes to the kind of country we want...and the republicans will never stop until they have things their way...that I'm in favor of giving it to them.

Why not split up the country and let all the republicans and tea baggers live in their utopia with no government except a military to protect the wealthy. The rest of them will be perfectly happy pulling themselves up by their bootstraps, being free to carry and fire their guns wherever they want to, outlawing abortion, science, homosexuality and unions. Their taxes will just pay for their police and military, they won't have a minimum wage, there will be no social programs or safety nets, the sick will just die if they can't pay for care, their air will be filthy, their water contaminated and no one will be able to sue any corporation for making crappy products that kill people.
I could go on and on but you get the picture.

The rest of us will be happy to be rid of them!

17. I don't see any other way
They will not compromise. Anything. They win an election by a few votes, it's a mandate. We win by a landslide...they still win because they use the minority power.

I'm sick and tired of them destroying the fabric of this country.

Give them their own. And shoot them on sight if they try to enter ours. I have drank enough of their poison water to last ten lifetimes. They are like cockroaches. If you let one in, they will multiply and make our life miserable again. Enough is enough.

18. Someone questioned my patriotism when I talked about this.
I said that the republicans killed whatever patriotism I had. This country is fucked and whatever greatness we once had is gone. We've become a country of haters, ruled by haters.

It's like something out of Orwell.

They're nuts.

19. They can have the media, too. We need our own.
Why isn't the hypocrisy of the Republicans/Teabaggers being blasted on mainstream media?

I screamed at the television tonight when McConnell was blabbering. That was a first for me. Sadly, it will probably happen again. <sigh>

Do you think they'll leave if we ask them nicely, or will they need to be lured by their own tax-free promise?
