10. Yeah. I call it class massacre..........
We're late to the party, but we are STARTING to fight back.

The capitalist exploiters don't make ANY concessions until they get scared. The more the fear, the bigger the concessions. I haven't seen any concessions yet. Ergo, we probably need to turn up the heat.

Infographic: Tax Breaks vs. Budget Cuts

The chart below compares the 10 safety-net programs slated for deep cuts with the cost of the tax breaks that should also be considered for reduction or elimination to bring the budget into balance. The column on the left is a list of safety-net programs that have already been targets of the House leadership’s budget ax. The column on the right is the cost to specified tax breaks (see bottom of page for sources).

19. Republicans love redistributing wealth as long as it's going up.
I am starting to believe the Democrats will never figure out how to properly fight them, either deliberately or just from incompetence.

But hey, can't we have a thread demeaning poor people and the choices they make instead? Because after all, if they just wouldn't smoke or drink occasionally then they would be one of the "winning" rich.

22. Sadly, it's only going to get worse. We can all see that.
We keep fighting back and we keep losing ground. The more that the Kochs and their allies consolidate power, the more powerful they become. The Citizens United decision cemented that. Lincoln had it wrong; the USA is government of, for, and by the oligarchy.

This is all the left's fault. If we would just get in lock step, none of this would be happening.

40. Democrats are not fighting by the d=same rules that republicans are.
Republicans are shameless and will attach riders to any bill as a way to get what they want. And democrats just sit in the committees where the riders are attached as if asleep. Every time a republican attaches a rider, a democrat must attach a rider to the same bill. If republicans attach riders to de-fund PP or children nutrition programs, democrats attach riders that, if passed, would make it law that no state that gets back more than 100% of it's paid in federal taxes can have federal government facilities operating in it until it's share of federal taxes taken in drops to 100% or less. Democrats must attach a rider that says that no person can get a yearly SS or medicare benefit that represents more than 110% of what they paid in annually while working.

I think that we definitely need to turn up the heat. Maybe not violently...yet, but something to get the exploiters to fear us. They make concessions only out of fear.

Welcome to DU BTW.

Some way, some how -- we need to fight back. Take to the streets if we have to. We can't allow our rich to become richer while the poor suffer.

43. No one is more stupid than low income republicans
They're so easily manipulated with the anti-abortion dog whistle. And the problem is we all pay for their idiocy while the rich laugh all the way to the bank.

And only a handful of dems speak out about the acceleration of the wealth transfer. I'm not sure there's even a way to slow it down now.
