"Forced birth"
Joy-Ann Reid referred to women being forced to birth children as part of the attempt by Christianist wing of the Rs to hijack the teabagger "movement". She was spot on about the methodology of this faction and I posted the video on the video forum for viewing. I think that forced birth is a term worth adopting. It conveys the lack of control over women's bodies that this group seeks. AND we need to be talking about the war on contraception they are waging.

1. About time we heard that phrase..
If forced birth doesn't come under the heading of cruel and unusual punishment, I don't know what does.

5. I don't like the term
When you think of "birth" you think of a full term baby, at which point, there's no other option except to give birth. That's just my opinion.

6. Not an attractive term and easy to debunk
Forced birth? You know who doesn't mind the forced birth?
The baby.
Who once born, and in this term 'forced birth' will be - is due a little more than 'you were a forced birth baby'
The term dehumanizes she or he once born.
Not to say your intent is wrong, just the wrong term.

7. maybe forced parenthood or forced motherhood
but then, people who are pro-life generally don't have a problem considering parenthood as the price youpay for having sex.
