FReeper "wisdom" on public services
Edited on Sat Apr-09-11 11:48 AM by SoCalNative
"Now that I know about it, I think Americans should stop paying for trash pick up in DC. Trash collection at federal buildings is one thing but trash collection for everyone else should be their problem."

5. fixed..
sorry 'bout that

in any case I guess they don't realize that people DO pay their municipalities for the privilege of their trash being picked up.

4. Imagine how difficult it would be to enforce garbage pickup in a big city.
I live in a small town and private collection is mandatory but unenforceable. Still, it's not much of a problem with 5,000 residents and a lot of open space. A few people burn it, though it's obviously illegal.

People in the big city would find a thousand unhealthy things to do with their garbage if they had to pay a bill to take it away and the environment would resemble France during the middle ages.
But hey... that seems to be the Freep dream of minimized government regulation.

6. Freepers are morons.
Edited on Sat Apr-09-11 11:59 AM by bluestate10
They are the people who show up and Walmart and dime stores in too small jeans or slacks with their butt cracks showing. They scream for and vote for policies that screw them and when screwed, vote for policies that screw them even more. Their worlds are shrinking as the rest of america leaves them behind. They are relics of a bygone era.

12. Yeah but in the interim they are sure being helpful
to the corporatist as useful idiots and really causing a lot of problems for the rest of use.

8. I suppose that freeper uses his or her home and backyard
as a trash dump, never bothering to have it collected.

Either that or he or she puts it all in the back of their pickup, and dumps it into a dumpster behind a local condo or apartment complex nearby late at night. Someone recently did just that at my condo complex, cramming their old ragged, stinky cat-piss smelling couch and love seat into one of our two dumpsters, which of course were not accepted by the trash hauler that is contracted by our condo association.

15. Folks who are planning a protest of any kind
should use an alias and take all their Facebook info and pics down before they announce what they are wanting to do. Far too easy for rightwing nutbags to track them down.
