West Virginia and Virginia Residents keep an eye out for the storms
heading in from Kentucky. Possible tornadoes, heavy thunderstorms, wind, and large hail. Near Eubank, Ky they reported grapefruit sized hail.

4. No problem. We had nickel sized hail here, and heavy rain.
The wind wasn't much of a problem compared to what they are seeing in Eastern Ky.

There will be two waves passing. After they pass, it will be nice.

Tornado warning south of Hazard Ky.

5. We've had a lot of
severe thunder storm warnings and a tornado watch. The wind actually stripped some branches from my young willow tree which never happens because it is so supple.

We can use the rain but can do without the wind.

I'm in southwest Virginia and it's dark and dreary right now but no wind or rain (yet) today.

7. Just keep you eyes and ears open. Up in WVa, the storms
cover the whole state.

The storms are moving fast, so don't go out unless you know you can get home before they hit.

8. Thanks...
I really appreciate your concern. I'm going to stay in all day and work. I might sneak a nap in, too. :-)

12. So true.
We're about 20 miles from the base of a mountain and sometimes when the wind comes down the mountain it sounds like a freight train. It's rough on our roof because our house faces in that direction and it tends to lift the shingles up. Today the window has come a bit more from the south so it hasn't been so hard on the roof but it was really wild last night for awhile. Right now we are just getting the much needed rain.

13. The time the storm hits has some effect. If the sun is low
the air is not as active.

Ever notice the wind tends to drop after 4 PM.

17. Spring can be terrifying.
But it brings flowers. That more than makes up for it.

10. Thankfully we're in north central WV.
Looks like they're all gonna pass way south of us. Stay safe, all of you who live south of us!

14. Sorry I didn't get back. It looks like NC is getting it now.
It looks tame now compared to this afternoon. Hope everything is intact.
