How secure or private are the records of who has a card? Do HIPAA laws apply to MMJ patients? Are they protected at all? Does the state have access to cross reference those records with welfare or foodstamp recipients?
ya, just wondering...

it's getting ridiculous that there are three dispensaries here in my little town, and my regualr 'channels' have all but evaporated... I hate the idea of being in that database for the govt, but i may have to cave just to have a reliable source...

7. I doubt that one could rely on having privacy in that situation. |

The only way would be if the dispensary did not keep records, and they would need to do that if it is dispensed by prescription, as would the MD I would think. And then those records could be subpoenaed by the Feds. By state law, of course, you would be OK.
