Fellow winger, Marco Rubio To Trump: Drop The ‘Birther’ Issue
fellow winger, Marco Rubio.

But when it came to Trump’s questioning whether or not President Obama was born in the U.S., Rubio said: “I would suggest — if he asked for my opinion — not to focus so much on that issue. There are more important things facing our country. I believe Barack Obama was born in the United States of America …So why are we talking about this?”

5. That's not a good sign...
Or maybe Rubio's just messing with us? He can't be a serious GOP contender without both feet firmly planted in 'opposite world'.

7. One cannot win the GOP nomination these days without getting a major portion of the CRAZY vote.

In terms of his campaign strategy, Trump might be on to something.

Since Trump has no history as a social-conservative and obviously he is not a fundamentalist or even a typical teabagger - how can he appeal to the crazies? Plus his lifestyle has been way too libertine and urbane for their taste. Well he can become the hero and champion of the cause that even the likes of Huckabee or Palin or Gingrich feel obliged to avoid - Making himself the hero and most famous and high profile advocate of the birther movement allows him to gain significant traction with the the lunatic fringe whose support is absolutely essential for winning the GOP nomination.
