Whatever your cause, you owe it to yourself to see "The People Speak"
This is an outstanding production based on "A People’s History of the United States" by historian Howard Zinn. It takes place on stage in Boston and consists of dramatic readings by numerous actors of speeches and writings by those who dared to stand up for their rights over the course of American history from the time of Columbus to the Iraq War. This production makes one feel that you're standing in the crowd witnessing the presence of people in our history who have spoken out against terrible abuses by their own government and the monied interests behind the scenes.

The powerful delivery of powerful words left me choked up several times and determined to read the book.

I lent my People's History book long time ago and have been without it. Your post got me to order it online and also the dvd People Speak.

The trailer of this movie is inspiring

I need to hear these historical words again to remind me that there are people who do speak out.

3. "The People Speak" is also available at Audible.com.
as is "The People's History of the United States" (unabridged & abridged). You can D/L them into almost any Media Player device or Smart Phone, and listen from out of your shirt-pocket.
