My (last I hope) call from the DNC, just half hour ago. I finally answered their call and |
|
told them to please stop calling me. They have been calling at least 2 times a day for the past six months. I finally told the to take me off their list and stop calling for money. And that I donate to many Democratic causes though out the country... individual candidates of my choosing. I also told them that I did not like the way they doled out money to some democrats in name only with out hold their feet to the fire and to up hold the principles of the Democratic party. I don't think they will call again.

17. They used to say the same crap about Lieberman. |
|
It's only on important votes that they vote like republicans.

19. I think the DNC and the President should have backed someone who |
|

would have served the people and not the oil companies.
In our current climate, they might have stood a chance.
On edit: Many of the those votes were on legislation that sold working people out and were in AGREEMENT with the rethuglicans.
It wasn't until 2010 that Progressives in the Congress outnumbered the NewDem/BlueDog coalition.

6. Sure, my next door neighbor, Harold Jones. And all the ones who voted |
|
against the public option in the HC bill. Give me one reason why a democrat would vote against that?

3. I neither answer them anymore nor the DSCC. I also did not renew my |
|
DNC membership. I'll contribute to individual candidates and progressive organizations, but not the DNC and DSCC. I just don't think they represent my interests. I'll vote for sure, but I'm really pissed off at the money in elections today and how our government has been bought. It's getting so it has very little to do with representing "we the people."

4. I got a call yesterday from the 'Obama election campaign'. |
|
I pretty much told him what you wrote in regard to who I will donate to. Act Blue, Bold Progressives, MoveOn, etc.. It was sort of funny though. He started with emotional appeal and faux enthusiasm. "Obama has just announced he is running for reelection, isn't that exciting?!" Dead silence on my end, then 'Well, not really'. I then went into where my donations will be going. He asked why, I gave the long ugly reasons, the latest being topical as the budget battle wages, that he extended the Bush tax cuts which would have paid for half the shortfall.
He may get my vote by default, but no money from me. 'Get it from Goldman Sachs' is what I told him.

9. I tell them the same thing. contributions to candidates of my choice, and/or PAC's that I know .... |
|
are Progressive. I do give to the state Dem. Party because it is in such a pitiful, powerless condition, and the national DNC hardly ever helps us down here. (Dean gave the most support ever.)
