1. Silver is around $40! It's INSANE. I remember joking with people about the...
..value of the Canadian Loon versus the Dollar. That the Candian currency is now superior to the dollar doesn't need any further dressing-up.

We're fucked.

2. This is what happens when the Fed lets the presses roll,
And tries to print our debt away. A wonderful practice known as "quantitative easing" or monetizing the debt. So far the Feds have simply printed out an additional 1.75 trillion dollars.

More dollars in circulation leads to a weakened dollar, and higher inflation for us.

15. This is how they steal our retirement savings and our Social Security
and Medicare money. Just watch, the amounts we spend on "security," i.e., military junk, will skyrocket. That is because we have to import a lot of raw materials to produce that stuff that we blow up in places like Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan.

21. And corporations holding 2 trillion dollars hidden away in offshore accounts
Just picture the inflation if this money is 'repatriated' and tax-free as they want.

17. That's 'cause food an energy vary wildly
When gas prices were a lot lower 2 years ago, were you concerned about deflation? And concerned about inflation 2 years before that when gas prices were about where they are now?

14. ostrich syndrome
If we don't look, we can pretend it doesn't matter.

In frightening times it is the way many people cope.

The "this too will pass" folks are often right
and the "sky is falling " folks are often wrong. So what is one to do?

18. Except a weak dollar helps in our current situation
Weaker dollar means more exports, which means more jobs in the US.

Weaker dollar means less imports, which means more jobs in the US.

A weak dollar is not always good, but in our current crappy economy it is.
