Letting us die vs. Killing us
Which is worse?

But, dare I say, THIS is the only difference between the two parties.

Obviously, letting us die is the better choice.

And that, my friends, is WHY you should vote Democratic...because they will allow you to die whereas the republicans will flat out kill you.

3. I am a senior citizen.
As Medicare is being defunded I ask myself how I and other older people will survive.

The defunding of Medicare will, I predict, lower the life expectancy in the US. Of course, that my be the intention of the Republicans. After all, why should the poor continue to live once they no longer provide a reserve a cheap labor? That seems to be the Republican attitude.

Nothing Christian about it, that's for sure.

5. No. Medicare and Social Security are not scams.
They are probably the only ways that you can insure that older people don't just die in misery on the streets.

There really is no alternative to Medicare and Social Security. Caring for the old is simply the responsibility of the young. Back when we were to a large extent an agrarian society, elderly people lived on the farms with their children. In general, miners and others who had jobs that were extremely challenging physically died before they became seniors. Even at the time of Jefferson, indigent older people were taken care of by the community.

I challenge you to try to think of an alternative to Medicare and Social Security that will work as well. We used to have what were called "poor houses." They afforded the elderly no dignity and were hard to maintain. I suppose the closest thing we have to them now are some of the very cheapest nursing homes. Older people are just sort of left in those places to die.

Individual savings accounts are completely unrealistic. Most of us who are over 50 have those accounts. The Wall Streeters just manipulate the economy and those accounts so as to mug us. The state pension plans are perfect examples of mugging victims. That is what the stock market crash was about.

The stock market -- now that is a scam. And if you don't believe me, read Matt Taibbi's book, Griftopia.

9. If I see you get shot and I'm a doctor and can save your life
but let you die, does that make me any better than the guy who shot you? I don't think it does, if you have the power to help someone, then you also have the responsibility to help them.
