"What's wrong with this country" Part 1,697
Jim "I profited hugely from stock manipulation and didn't even get a slap on the wrist" Cramer, in a convoluted defense of Wall Street this morning, pointed out that he paid his secretary -- his secretary -- $400,000 a year when he worked as a hedge fund manager. He admitted this in some sort of odd rebuttal to Warren Buffett's acknowledgement that his sec'y paid a higher tax rate than he did.

These people simply live on another planet. They don't have a clue what goes on with normal American earthlings, yet they are the ones making the rules.

4. They care about what's really important--making rich people richer.

Everything our society does works to that end. Rich people are the chosen people. They'd tell you that, only they're so very, very humble. So stop whining about needing food and shelter. Give the last shirt of your back to a rich person. You'll find happiness when you're dead. That's what they always tell us, and we know they wouldn't lie to us.

7. He's another in a long line of IOKIYR stories.
David Vitter, Larry Craig, Joe Scarborough, on and on and on. No matter how serious the transgression -- in Cramer's case, admitting on tape that he used to regularly manipulate stocks by offering phony tips and insider information -- It's OK If You're Republican. A blowjob or an affair is grounds for impeachment or disbarment or worse for Democrats, without fail. If a Democrat so much as farts in an elevator there is a band of crazed Republicans calling for his resignation the next day.

Just another issue the Democratic party has; they never seem to understand that the other side is playing hardball all the time, and they don't care how transparent their bullshit is -- because they know we'll always cave. *sigh*

8. As if to demonstrate how clueless they are, the Cave dwellers have spoken...
I'm an idiot because Cramer is right because Warren Buffett doesn't pay income tax, he pay's capital gains taxes. Which, of course, they think should be zero, too. So I guess they really don't think the wealthy should contribute ANYTHING towards the roads their limos drive on or the airports their private jets land at or the Defense Department that keeps our young men and women dying in order to protect their industries making their millions for them to hide away in off-shore accounts. And, as usual, they seem to miss the point that Warren Buffett was the one complaining -- yes, complaining -- that his secretary paid a higher tax rate than he did. I didn't make it up, it's easily fact-checkable. But then, facts are scary things to the stupid morans over there.
