Thom Hartmann ended interview early and dropped f bomb
seriously. wow. craziest interview on the program I've heard. Thom Hartmann was interviewing Peter Ferrara from the American Civil Rights Union about taxes and budget cuts. The interview soon sunk into a shouting match including "in real dollars? in real dollars?" when Ferrara was discussing Obama's debt. Hartmann had to put Ferrara on hold for running his mouth because Hartmann struggled to get a thought out and then ended the interview early and said "I'm so (f-word)ing tired of this crap from the right" or something like that.

If you were listening on Ustream.tv, you heard that word uncensored. However, on radio stations or Free Speech TV it most likely was bleeped out...as it's illegal to broadcast obscene language on the airwaves. (somebody also memo Rush Limbaugh please.)

Hartmann's back after having David Sirota substitute the past three days because he was in Germany. Wow...what a way to come back. This interview might get posted on the YouTube channel later today albeit edited, but the Ustream archive will probably not.

2. So Peter Ferrara is now with the American Civil Rights Union?
He was with the Institute for Policy Innovation. I swear these rightwing fuckers come up with a new think tank every 5 minutes just to keep people confused. It's like a shell game.

7. An obvious play on ACLU--
A sort of "ventriloquist" operation? A fascist group posing as a civil-rights supporter?

Who'd a' thunk it?

3. FOR ONCE a liberal didn't let the RW tool do the usual endless rant
Edited on Mon Apr-11-11 12:26 PM by upi402
I can't understand why we go on their shows when they interrupt and talk over liberals every time.

And when RW asshats go on liberal shows, they rarely listen and respond - they interrupt the host, talk over him/her, and rant.

4. I saw parts of the Comedy Awards last night...

The f word was censored, but numerous times the s word was not. I imagine some of the stations censored all of them. It was on 3 or 4 different stations.

And I could swear they edited out 'rapist' during one skit on one channel. I saw a repeat where the word was not censored.

10. My understanding is that "FUCK" meaning To pork, to bone, to shtoop...
is obscene.
However "Fuck" as an exclaimation or expression of something else is not.

The documentary "Operation Restrepo" aired not long ago on Nat Geo. It was totally uncensored and there was a lot of f-bombs (amongst other bombs) but they weren't talking about fucking. They were just saying fuck.

12. This guy must have been ON IT for Thom to react so.
Thom is one of the best interviewers of the "other side" that we have. As much as it pains me to hear him to civil to some of these people, as they are completely undeserving of same, I respect him highly for being able to do it. This Ferrara guy must have been over-over-over the top... and/or Thom was quite tired and jetlagged.
