Maine blogger files FOAA request to get names of ME legislators in ALEC & correspondence with ALEC
Maine blogger Gerald Weinand, an architect married to an elementary school teacher, posted last night about the ALEC inspired "Parental Trigger" bill introduced by Amy Volk:

Weinand also wrote:

Sen. Richard Rosen (R-Hancock) is the Maine state chair of ALEC. I have filed a FOAA request with him and the Maine Attorney General requesting information on which other legislators are members and for correspondence they have had with ALEC.

The FOAA is Maine's Freedom of Access Act:

Weinand made the request after emailing Rosen about ALEC and not getting any response:

You can find much more information about what this group is doing in the long compilation topic on the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), which has hundreds of replies and links.

1. I like the moves to get information through information act requests.
Sunshine is a good disinfectant.
