Neither is the author of the OP, and neither are you. Furthermore, if someone does want to vote against his or her best interests I don't care.

That's my point. I feel that the whole meme of "people voting against their own best interests" is fundamentally flawed because it carries a presumption of being a better judge of someone else's best interests than the person whose interests are in question.
