I finally found time to watch "Inside Job" yesterday...
For those who have seen it, why are fuckers from Goldman Sachs/Wall Street, who stole nearly the entire wealth of the middle-class, now in charge of our monetary policy? How can this be? How are they not in FUCKING JAIL!

4. How are they not in jail?
They're running the show. As the "Inside Job" pointed out quite adroitly.

5. We.Are.Fucked.
I watched Gasland as well as Inside Job and I have come to the inevitable conclusion that we are utterly and completely screwed.

Big $$$ owns everything, the media, the politicans, the courts, the whole damned thing...

The only question is how bad will things get before the masses stand up and fight for our rights?

Animal Farm works as an allegory for capitalism as well as stainlism, and we are all going to suffer the same fate as Boxer unless we do something pretty bloody quickly...

7. I wish more DU'ers would watch it. Would help those who hate finance understand what's
been done to all of us. The Poor,& Middle Class strugglers held hostage to bail out the Wall Street Crooks and Banksters on our backs. This is why we have to talk about Budget Deficits and cutting Programs for Average Americans. Because WE BAILED THE FUCKERS OUT!

But, because most folks don't have stocks, bonds or pay attention to Wall Street...they could con us.

This film is only a start but it's an eye-opener, for sure since it makes it make sense without you having to spend days reading in the little time we all have...working our butts off because of what they did...and those who have no employment because of what they did and are doing.

Thanks for posting about this! :yourock:

8. There about 30 libraries on our regional network. This DVD is checked out in 25 branches.
And this is a red section of New Jersey with megamansions and stuff.

Meltdown - Part 1 of 4
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3xsr_W5JwI

I loved Inside Job, but this movie goes into even more intricate detail about the whole affair - which it can afford to, given it's roughly 2 1/2 hours long (broken into 40 minute chunks). I'm glad I saw Inside Job first, though - as it was a great precursor to Meltdown.

13. "Meltdown" gets five stars from me.
I first viewed it back last September on the CBC.

It took months for it to appear on Youtube.

15. I almost consider "Inside Job" as a CliffsNotes version of "Meltdown"
So glad I stumbled upon it on YouTube, surprised it hasn't gotten more views (or more press...I haven't heard of it anywhere else!).

19. The CBC will not allow Americans to view "Meltdown" online.
That may at least partly explain the lack of media coverage here in the States.

The film's content may explain the rest.

BTW, this is the only CBC documentary that I was not allowed to view online.

I kept looking for it on Youtube. It took some time, but I finally found it there last month. I posted it in DU's Political Videos forum that same day.

Check out the CBC home of the film. Lotsa good stuff there:

10. Because they bought their politicians, their own laws, their judges, their attorney generals...
their media, their review boards, their president...need we go on?

14. Include "Griftopia" (the book) by Matt Taibbi
It's hard to imagine that we have any hope for recourse, or that the young can expect any kind of livable future.
