The Facts:
1. The debt ceiling was raised 6 times with little to no discussion during the Bush Administration.
2. Raising the debt ceiling has never been filibustered or used for gaining political advantage.
3. Not raising the debt ceiling will require the US to pay more in interest and penalties which will cost our nation more.

The Republicans are risking our nation's financial security to gain some additional tax cuts for the rich and to further their political ambitions.
