Is the increasing Right wing opposition to birth control an effort
to get all those white wimmen to start having white babies?

If so, the right better start working on a return to laws banning miscegenation!

3. Agree with you, niyad...
I'm Canadian, from a small city where often students in high school are able to get their first contraceptive pills from a Health Clinic.. without their parents knowing about it. They can get maybe their first three month supply, I think..

Which, to me, as a mother and a Canadian Pharmacist, is a great thing..

So I wondered if Planned Parenthood also serves a similar function in that it gives out needed information to young female students as well.. not just "low income" women.

Good luck to keeping Planned Parenthood funded.. :)

6. Back in the 1930s,
Margaret Sanger encountered a lot of opposition for her advocacy of contraception, and sometines grumbled that she could swear the rich just wanted to ensure that they always had a ready supply of cheap labor. Maybe she was right.

7. it is just divide and conquer stuff -- shell game
I think they just prefer to play offense.

Legal abortion was largely a protestant conservative position until 1973.

"Many Democrats from traditionally Catholic areas were opposed to abortion rights while many of its supporters were Republicans. Early opposition to the expansion of abortion rights rose largely from within the Catholic community. Catholics had well organized political groups which had been active in the long, failed, post-war battle to preserve bans on contraceptives. When the Supreme Court struck down most states’ abortion laws in 1973, they were already well mobilized."
