It's Time For All Du'ers To Have A Come To Jesus Talk With Their College Bound Kids & Above.....

It's time to sit down with our kids that are just on their way to college, those in college and those just graduating.

It is time to tell them that they to will age and become old like us someday and that they are now being targeted for shouldering more and more of the burden of their health costs as they age. Show them how the Repugs are going to lay the burden down on them and tell them that then need to get involved now - politically - to prevent that from happening.

We need to get the youth of our country to realize what the Repugs are trying to do. We need to make them activists. We need to get them to the ballot box and make their votes count. We need to show them how the Repugs are dismantling this country - piece by piece.

They need to understand that everything that makes this country great is under siege by the Repugs. They need to understand that their future employment opportunities are under siege. They need to understand that this country's infrastructure is under siege. That the food we eat and water we drink is under siege by the Repugs.

And let your daughters know that the Repugs want to make all the decisions for their bodies.

Our children need to know that the Repugs are trying to enslave them and their futures and that they will become slaves of the Corporations and the uber wealthy.

We need to awake the youth of our nation. They need to know that the powers at be want them to fight their political and financial wars - but that they will not receive the benefits derived from their service. We need to let them know that they are being groomed to serve the elite.

I watch with amazement what the Repugs are doing to this country. They have kids too. Don't they realize what they are setting up for their own children? Don't they care?

If we - the elder generation - can't stop this onslaught to our existence - maybe we can get our kids to take on the mission.

"Major in something you love to do. Get the best grades and recommendations you possibly can. Save money when you can. Then move THE HELL OUT OF THE US as soon after you graduate as possible."

Maybe adding "and study a year overseas in a country you might want to someday live in - you will make valuable friends and connections. But GET THE HELL OUT of the US as fast as you can."

never to come home again. You'll save having to pay for airfare back at Christmas vacation.

How about telling them to study hard, lap up the learning opportunities, stay away from binge drinking, and don't have unprotected sex.

12. We came clean with our kids

first we told them, listen we are sleepy and fat and won't even remember this conversation in an hour. We have fucked up, the whole place is in shambles. People your age and younger have got to wake up and stay attentive. People are smart and ingenious, and you were born at just the right time. We grew up in the 70's and were spoon fed apathy and loser mentality. It was a lie to make us fat and lazy. I can barely keep my eyes open. I wanna go back to bed. But You, you must love each other, give back to your community, tend to each other. Find the work you would love to do and do it honestly. Lay down your guns and find a way to let each other become full humans with out fear and with out shrugging.

My kids accuse us of being racist, they don't even consider a persons color, most of their friends are a beautiful mocha color, and our kids wish they weren't so cheesy white.

One day I was feeling sorry that I ever brought kids into this world, most of their lives, we have been at war. i never would have had them to send them off as cannon fodder. Why did I willingly do it? Then it dawned on me, so they could experience joy, so they could find their place in the world to make it a little better. so they could love, including loss, and become softened, like warn leather. So they could create something with their minds, and hands and hearts. So they could be in awe. The sociopaths writing the script of war and poverty and sickness cannot touch the soft breath of an inspired soul. they are not around our supper table, they are not in on our family jokes(once my son, then 10, farted and the smoke detector went off...this is ingrained in our family history)
