The Idiot: "The Koran has a negative vibe"
Donald Trump: Koran has ‘very negative vibe’
By Elizabeth Tenety

) Working overtime to convince the public of his social conservative credentials, potential 2012 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump is appearing on Christian Broadcasting Network’s 700 Club this week to discuss everything from his religious beliefs, to his new found anti-abortion stance, to his view of the Koran as a scripture with a “very negative vibe.”

The thrice-married billionaire's interview with CBN’s David Brody airs in a series this week.

Trump told Brody that he is a Christian who attends church, “Always on Christmas. Always on Easter. Always when there’s a major occasion. And during the Sundays. I’m a Sunday church person. I’ll go when I can.”

1. Yeah, but so do the other surviving Abrahamic religions.
People who are enamoured by that gorilla are the kind of people who think yelling at someone is a solution to a problem.

2. The OT and NT have a negitive "vibe," so I would be surprised if the Koran does as well. nt

4. I agree with him
However, he didn't go far enough. All religions have a negative vib to them in my opinion.

I view people needing to believe in superstition over science/logic as very negative.

8. However, the bible is very positive. 1 Samuel 18:27
"David and his men went out and killed two hundred Philistines. He brought their foreskins and presented the full number to the king so that he might become the king's son-in-law. Then Saul gave him his daughter Michal in marriage."

10. I always get a little choked up when I read that passage.
It's so beautiful, you just KNOW it had to be written by an all-knowing God.

14. Of course
everyone that follows the one true lord knows that in order to get married you have to present the foreskins of a pile of Philistines to dear ol' dad.

Such a merciful and just one the lord.

Because, you know, Trump and the rest of the wing nuts would not be so homophobic if the Bible was okay with homosexuality.

9. Of course he attends church!!! That's where he met his mistress!!!
If she wasn't the cause, she was certainly at the heart of the commotion. From the time columnist Liz Smith broke the story, the fiercely competitive New York City tabloids have been off and running with the juiciest spectacle since Donna Rice and Gary Hart took their Monkey Business to Bimini. THEY MET IN CHURCH! trumpeted one New York Post headline, over a story that Marla and her man regularly shared a pew at Manhattan's prestigious Marble Collegiate Church, where Donald had wed Ivana 12 years ago. BEST SEX I'VE EVER HAD shrieked the following day's paper, alleging that that was Marla's boast to her pals about Donald. (The next day Marla denied saying any such thing, calling the quote a blatant lie.)

11. Religion is about control...
There must be a negative to get people to "behave" in a religious manner.

Spirituality, OTOH, is about freedom... especially from religion.

16. this is rich;

"Donald Trump: “Well civil unions, look. First of all, I live in New York. I know many, many gay people. Tremendous people. And to be honest with you, as far as civil unions are concerned, I haven’t totally formed my opinion. But there can be no discrimination against gays. I’m against gay marriage; I took a lot of heat for that.”

"...there can be no discrimination against gays. I'm against gay marriage; I took a lot of heat for that."

Is it me?

The guy is unashamedly stupid.

'they' are. People are people. Equal rights mean Equal.

He says 'no discrimination'. While discriminating.

Didn't 'Tiny Tim' also run for president?

19. You Mean "The Uber-rich Idiot"
There are so very many idiots.

When I saw your headline I thought it would be about the idiot that stole the election from Al Gore in 2000.

He (Bush) was "the Village Idiot".

Trump is "the uber-rich idiot".

Too many idiots.
