Politics does not have a reputation for being the most fascinating of subjects.

But one teenager yawned so deeply during a class on the topic that her mouth got stuck wide open and she had to be taken to hospital.

Holly Thompson, 17, was studying for her government and politics A-level at the Northampton School for Girls when she dislocated her jaw and found herself unable to close it again.

1. Wish that would happen to some people here who do the 'yawn' thing to belittle others' arguments.
I know how you do a virtual yawn but how do you get your cyber jaw stuck?

3. This happened to Burt Reynolds quite a while back and caused him
huge problems with alignment, etc. Hope she's okay.

8. Could be but I do know that's how he got hooked on the pills. Very
painful, difficult to eat and chew food, etc.
