"Shared Sacrifice" seems to be the next mealy mouth, mean nothing phrase the media will not question
again, I am cruising the evening news shows, and, all this budget talk, with the repubs throwing out the "shared sacrifice" phrase over and over, and not one media spokesperson, even on MSNBC, has asked for the specifics on what exactly are the sacrifices the rich, the billionaires, the military, the oil executives, had made. I want ONE specific sacrifice they have made. Just name me one. One, that's not asking too much, I think.

Kind of like extending the bush tax cuts, it was all about "creating jobs", not one media spewer (that I heard) had the guts to ask if these EXTENSIONS are to create jobs, then where the are the jobs.... these are not new tax cuts, but extensions, so if they didn't work in the past few years, why now....

1. Trying to sell the Ryan plan as "shared sacrifice" is laughable on the face of it.

The wealthiest Americans get a huge income tax cut and more importantly the capital gains tax would be eliminated. No sacrifice there.

The "roadmap" only re-distributes wealth upward and does NOTHING to address the deficit but the very serious people will gravely note that "shared sacrifice" and "tough choices" are needed because we are "broke".

2. WI Assembly person Pam Galloway
when asked what sacrifices the rich make said, "They pay taxes." So, there, now you know.

I realized while typing the OP that the shared sacrifice mantra is meant to soften up the plebs for the coming "entitlements reform". gag me.
