Toyota May Close Plants in the US in April

Japanese auto manufacturer Toyota recently announced that the company will have to close all its production plants in the US because of last month´s earthquake. The company says there´s a shortage of parts from Japan.

"We´re going to get to a point this month where that gap in the pipeline starts to show up. So we´ll have to suspend production for a while," Toyota spokesman Mike Goss explained.

It is still unclear when exactly the closures will happen and if all 13 US plants will be shut down at the same time.

2. It's awful but it could have been worse
The domestic industry could also have been abandoned in 2009, and would have been left to those ReTHUG clowns.
