What the president should have said about the budget deal
Following the recent deal that averted a threatened government shutdown, wouldn't it have been nice to hear the president say something like this?

"The deal we just made is preferable to a government shutdown, which would have been truly disastrous. But nobody should mistake it for anything but the tragedy it is. As a result of the cuts Republicans have forced, people who rely on government services will suffer, and the economy will lose jobs. The Republicans held the government hostage, and we had no choice but to pay the ransom." Government Shutdown Averted, But At What Cost?

Now that would have been refreshing. Alas, Mr. Obama aparently felt it was more politic to embrace the GOP budget cuts and declare victory. Now I'll be very curious to hear what he has to say in his new budget speech today. Thoughts?

Peace,
Morgan

1. I feel like the DUer who said this a few days ago:
"Don't tell us how hard you worked to do a poor job."

2. Mr. President, be ware of embracing GOP Ideiology.
I am now old enough to be able to love Bill Clinton
but love him in spite of his legacy.

You must think of your legacy when dealing with
the NEW DEAL and WAR ON POVERTY. Do you want
to be the Democratic President who killed the
FDRs NEW DEAL and Johnson's War on Poverty.

In the last election, Bill Clinton's legacy
helped the GOP win. Anyone who knows anything
knows that Bill Clinton signed the legislation
that gave banks the freedom to gamble our future
away and Bill Clinton passed Nafta which was never
managed and has more to damage the economy by
shipping jobs overseas. Yes, he was pressured
by Republicans who contolled the House and Senate.
In the last election John Kasich was able to skillfully
lay all this at Clinton's feet. Kasich is now
the governor.

THE PRESIDENT WHO SIGNS LEGISLATION will carry
blame or credit. Beware of your legacy.

I understand fully Medicare has to be reformed.
NO ONE ever tackles the real cost the real
reason Medicare is going broke. MEDICAL
INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX. Businesses and Hospitals
