What do you think about putting Vitamin D in tap water in some states?
It seems a great deal of our population is lacking the right amount of Vitamin D, and it's causing all sorts of health problems. A lot of people don't like milk anymore so that's no longer a reliable source of Vitamin D.

2. How about not screwing with the water supply?
Last thing we need is more dumping of stuff into what should be clean, pure water. You shouldn't have to pay a dollar a bottle to get unadulterated water. You want more Vitamin D, go soak up some sunshine, it's free.

he started having problems, it seems it can trigger kidney stones. Needless to say he stopped taking it.

5. Leave the water alone and let people find their own source of Vitamin D.
This could be done through education.

7. No. It's fat soluble, and some people should not take Vitamin D due to medical conditions.
For example, some forms of secondary hyperparathyroidism.

9. A bad idea
Vitamin D is one of the few vitamins that you can get too much of. My doctor has had me reduce my intake.
And I was only getting it as part of my normal diet and outdoor sun exposure.

13. We have a plentiful source of Vitamin D readily available
It's called the sun. Don't add any more crap to the tap water.
